So I got invited to Alice Osborn’s Book Signing for her new Anthology: TATTOOS. I did not take my camera, out of professional courtesy, but guess what? Alice asked if I wouldn’t mind taking some photos with her camera, which I handed over to my mother/assistant and I whipped out my iPhone. I shot the night away. She must have really liked the images because one is featured in her blog.
If you would like to see other iPhone images from Alice’s signing, please visit Alice Osborn iPhone Images
FemCity Raleigh has asked RCF to be the Photography Chair for our organization. YES, Absolutely!
I was honored to serve as a judge for the 2013 Miss Teen Raleigh. This came completely out of the blue; however, it was one of the best experiences I have had. These young and blossoming women were simply awesome. My age group, 13-15.
Through my volunteer efforts, I was matched through Catchafire.org with Meal on Wheels of Durham. As a way to get the word out about both of the awesome organizations, Triangle Business Journal interviewed the three of us.
Durham Charity Gets a Match
It pleases me to announce that an image of Reflections by Cathy Foreman has been selected as a winner in the 2012 North Hills Photography Competition. My image is the CapTrust Building reflecting into the First Citizens Building and won the award for “Unique Point of View”.
Volunteering at some amazing After Hours Jazz shows with the Art of Cool Project. If you’re into Jazz, this organization, which is based in Durham, puts on some awesome shows. Their goal, connecting music with people; you can’t get any better than that. Come get your groove on!
I am privileged to be covering a portion of the grand opening for the new wing of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.
The event is MEGA for Raleigh. 24 hours of activities and exhibits. Come out and see what’s new and old. I’m sure you’ll enjoy. There’s so much going on, how could you not.
