This is my platform to rant and rave, in an awesome way, about some great vendors that I have the opportunity to work with. I hope that my excitement and zeal prompt you to give them a call when you need any of their services. They are ROCKSTARS!!
The Pixel Shop – I was referred to this guy by a good friend. I cannot thank her enough. Brian is absolutely awesome! The patience, time and the care this man gives to his client and work is above reproach. We started out with just my logo and that evolved into my website. I can’t rave about him enough. My site is one of his creations. I LOVE IT! Check Brian out.
Divine Confections by Jean – Linda’s cakes are amazing. A week after an event and people are still talking about how good the cake was. I can tell you that there was not a crumb left at the end of the reception – a testament to the deliciousness of the cake. (Is that even a word? and if it’s not, it should be because it definitely applies here.)
The Desktop Diva Stationery – LaDonna is a gem. As a vendor, when you approach a fellow vendor about purchasing their product, you hope to have a slight edge in how you are handled as a client; if they treat you right, you become their walking billboard. And that is exactly how I was treated. But I have to tell you because we are friends as well as colleagues, she knows me well, which made our process that much easier. She was able to get inside my head and envision my needs from our phone conversation….and that’s a task. My outcome, fabulous. Her intuition, bar none. If you’re having a tough time finding or communicating what you need, trust me, she is your go to gal.
Covered-In-Style LLC – Jill is the sweetest person. I met Jill at The Holiday Inn Crabtree in December. The hotel hosted the December ’11, Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Meeting. Her decorations were absolutely beautiful. We were very pleased with what she produced. Jill offers chair covers and linens for your events. She also puts together some really great center pieces.
Riada by Adair – Jasmine Flood, man I don’t know what I would have done without her. Jasmine is INSANELY talented. Again, a fellow vendor|friend, but that has nothing to do with this rant I’m about to start. I called Jasmine and asked her about a design concept and to be perfectly honest, I was just rambling. I had this huge concept with no idea how to communicate it so she would understand it. Let me tell ya, she picked up on it immediately and sent me draft. WHAT?! Are you kidding me, this is EXACTLY what I was thinking. How can you possibly do that from the ramblings of a scattered brain. After a few tweaks, I had my entire concept in a few days and I love- no I LOVE IT! She ROCKS!!
Wedding Story Writer – This is more so for the ladies…when you were a little girl and you read the stories of princesses getting married, do you remember how vivid your imagination was? Have you ever thought about how your love story would read? Are you a couple who still believes in Happy Ever After and Til Death Us Do Part? Well that ‘s what Michelle does. Michelle has the corner on an absolutely brilliant idea. Follow the bride and groom on their wedding day detailing all the nuances that seem to go unseen and heard due to the excitement of the day. Michelle takes pen to paper and tells your love story…and it’s there as a keepsake; something you can read again and again, over time, as well as an heirloom that you can pass down to your children and children’s children. YOUR STORY. YOUR LEGACY.
Southern Gold Leaf Cakes – The owner of this establishment is Veronica Yoshida. I had the pleasure of meeting Veronica, in October 2011, at The Holiday Inn Crabtree Valley. Veronica made the wedding cake for a couple who hosted their reception at the hotel. The cake, lovely – simplicity at its best. Veronica offers an array of cakes from budget friendly to cakes that you see on WE TV and think, “Man, I wish I had that cake”.
New Found Beauty MUA – I’ve worked with Deatrice on several occasions now and I’ve traveled, on assignment, with her. When you travel with someone, you either establish a friendship or know you have to keep them at arms length…well guess what, here’s yet another friend. It’s safe to say that Dee and I work well together. She can give you a clean and elegant look or something more edgy and daring. She’s there to assist with your bridal needs as well as your personal needs. Personal, yes, if you have a party you need to get glammed up for, she’s your woman. Give her a call.
Let me preface this by saying I don’t typically write rants and raves unless I’ve actually worked with a vendor, but sometimes…sometimes it’s called for. With that being said, I met Tonya Trice of Dynamik Duo Desserts at an Open House and had the chance to sample her desserts. OH MY GOSH!! I had their Amaretto Cupcake and let me just tell you that it took me to another place; savoring each and every bite as she laughed at me. I remember her talking to me and explaining about her business when I had to stop her and say, “I know you’re talking to me, but I have no idea what you are saying right now”, which I followed up with a hug and a big pretend slap. I told her, if your mom was here, I would slap her too. You know that old saying, “It’s so good, it makes you want to slap ya momma”! Well that’s exactly how this cupcake made me feel. OH MY!! As I left her booth and ventured over to my friends, who had booths, I continued to savor this delectable dessert and simply said, you have to try it. I’m telling you the same thing…You Have To Try Just One!
